Climate Action
8 local photographers within our foundation out of various Middle Eastern countries are currently working on a project that captures the recent climate crises ravaging Middle Eastern countries such as including Syria, Palestine, Jordan, Iran, Iraq, Egypt, Lebanon and Turkey.
The Middle East Images Foundation is committed to supporting photographers and journalists who are working to document and raise awareness about the impacts of climate change in the Middle East and North Africa. Through its climate action project, the Foundation is supporting photographers and journalists who are documenting the current climate crisis in the region and its impacts on communities, economies, and ecosystems.
The climate action project is focused on showcasing the stories and perspectives of photographers and journalists from the Middle East and North Africa, with a goal of raising awareness about the challenges and opportunities related to climate change in the region. Through the project, the Foundation is working to provide a platform for local photographers and journalists to share their stories with the world and to highlight the unique perspectives and experiences of people in the region.
The climate action project is an important part of the Foundation’s broader mission to promote journalism education in the Middle East and North Africa and to support initiatives that aim to promote sustainable development in the region.
